We design, fabricate, install and maintain active fire protection and sprinkler systems for all types of property. Our knowledge, experience, and expertise within specific sectors enable us to deliver the optimum solution that is fully compliant with current regulations.

Retail

We are well equipped to design and install sprinkler installations in the retail industry and have undertaken works within all major shopping centres in the UK. The retail industry is fast paced and as such, our ability to design, fabricate and install on time and on budget means many of our clients return to us time and time again, often as a preferred contractor with complete project management.

Waste management

Kean Fire Protection understand the nature and quantities of the materials being stored within waste management/transfer/recycling operations mean that fires have the potential to be very serious events, posing risk to life and presenting hazards to the local community and the environment, not to mention the costs to the operators/owners, in terms of business disruption, capital losses (buildings and plant) and consequent insurance premium increases.

Kean Fire work closely with the plant owners/insurers to provide bespoke detection & fixed fire protection systems to satisfy the site requirements. Amongst other Waste Plant Facilities, most recently we have installed fixed Automatic Oscillating monitor/water cannon deluge systems to a Major Premises with no business disruptions providing total fire protection. The deluge systems are triggered via. UV IR2, IR2 & IR3 flame detectors, also equipped with manual call points, Sounders & Beacons, all controlled by a fully addressable fire alarm system with a dedicated Redcare link. From full holding capacity water storage tanks & twin diesel fire pumps the system delivers 7500Litres/minute of fire fighting water for 120minutes with additional capacity for Manual Fire Fighting Measures.

Education

We have designed and installed sprinkler protection to schools for a number of different local authorities working closely with main contractors to provide LPC approved sprinkler installations. We believe our competitiveness and level of experience in this sector is unrivaled and Kean Fire Protection is considered by many to be the leader in the industry.

Residential

Installing Sprinkler systems to residential and domestic properties is becoming more and more prevalent in new build. It is also becoming more common when planning extensions to existing properties. All our engineers are trained and fully qualified to design sprinkler installations to BS 9251:2005. The building side of our company has recently completed a development of nine houses each with its own sprinkler installation – we are a firm believer that residential sprinkler systems will save lives and protect the property.

Industrial & Commercial

We design, project manage, install and commission a variety of fire protection systems to protect different fire risks on a nationwide basis. Our experience shows through in the quality of our installs and we are able to offer wet, dry, alternate and pre-action sprinkler systems. Our company can also design and build the necessary builders work elements i.e. brick and GRP pump houses together with tank bases and pump foundations should this service be required.

QUALITY & SAFETY

Kean Fire Protection is Safe Contractor approved, a quality assured company to ISO:9001 standard, and is LPS 1048 approved by the LPCB.

Design staff has undertaken and passed LPCB basic, intermediate, FHC and testing & commissioning examinations.

All staff are first aid trained.

All operatives have skill card accreditations and are trained in IPAF (motorised lifters) and PASMA (mobile towers)

All installation operatives undertake regular competency reviews in all aspects of sprinkler / fire protection installation.
